Central topics will include biological, cognitive, affective, developmental, and social psychology. Discussion will focus on both theoretical ideas and empirical findings and how they relate to everyday life. Required Text Weiten, W. (2007). Psychology: Themes and Variations brief version (7 th Ed.). Wadworth Publishers. + additional chapters online There is a very helpful free Web site to accompany the book at: http://www.wadsworth.com/cgi- This site from the publisher has activities and animated tutorials for the more challenging concepts as well as self-quizzing to help you prepare for exams. Academic Honesty I expect that everyone enrolled in this course is academically honest and that your behavior during the quarter will demonstrate this.
