Identifying Fallacies 2. Ad Hominem - In question number 2 the North State Record obviously strikes Andrea Keene’s outlook from the beginning. This happens when they take her work and change it to a phrase without properly referencing to her work. Straw Man - Also in question 2 the North State Record attempts to stray from the subject by adding their own thoughts in the form of questions and using the questions to harm her reputation. 3. Poisoning the well – In question number 3 the writer cites problems with the logic of the person who wrote the letter. Misplacing Burden of Proof - Also in question 3 the person who wrote the letter tries to change the claim of being a window with her own views of this matter. 5. Ad hominem – In question number 5 the writer acts as if the joggers and bicyclists are the reason the park closed and as if they have any say in the matter. The writer is also sarcastic by attacking them with personal stuff.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
