Unformatted text preview: Based on the recommendations from the food guide pyramid my diet could definitely use some work. The food guide pyramid recommends that I get seven ounces of grains, three cups of vegetables, two cups of fruit, three cups of milk, and six ounces of meat. On one day I came close to meeting the recommendation for grains with 3.7 ounces. I also got close to meeting my recommended amount of vegetable (two cups) and on another day exceeded it (7.3 cups). On no day did I even come close to my recommendation for fruits. I didn’t eat any fruits on any of the three days. On only one day I came close to meeting my recommended amount of milk (2.1 cups). On two days I got about half of the recommended amount of meat (three ounces) and on one day I actually got a little bit more than the recommended amount (8.2 ounces).
