Hello Cornell Store Administration, We are contacting you on behalf of a student group in Professor Rick Evans' ENGRC 3350 Communication for Engineering Managers course at the Cornell University, College of Engineering. This course aims to equip students with the tools to appreciate the complexity of communication and identify its different forms as well as understand the relation of meaning, communication, and context. The final project for this course requires that we observe a local organization and focus on how communication works in a professional setting. Our goal is to identify the purpose that different forms of communication serve on an individual level as well as its unique function in the particular context of the organization. As a requirement for the project, the organization must meet certain criteria. The organization must have a defined function or purpose, carry itself with a level of professionalism in order to effectively conduct business, and provide a complex working environment amongst members (ex. hierarchy and unique roles).
