March 2, 2010 Seven Years’ War Huge British and American Victory!! Gave the Americans triumph over the French and gave them the French’s colonies. Spanish took Louisiana. Since Brittan sent a huge amount of help to the Americans to make sure the Americans won so they felt it was their victory but the American’s who fought in the war also feel it was partially their victory. This caused tension between England and the Americas especially when the British created rules in the Americas to pay off war coasts. 1. England & France at war, 1689-1748 a. Had both British war techniques and American war techniques. i. Americans would raid and have frontier battles between mil. 2. The struggle for the back country a. Backwoods, summer 1754 i. Virginia/Pennsylvania started to push into French colonies ii. One of the first places this happens iii. The French had large Forts in this area so they can protect the Ohio River Valley and the Mississippi iv. The British, including George Washington [22]), created the Ohio Company
