Western Civilization 17 September 2008 1. Reformation III: Reformer Multiply Cont. A. Radical Reforms: a. Some believed that there was no such thing as sin anymore because Christ died for our sins so you could no longer sin. While some believed that wearing clothes was a sin so they walked around naked, called Adamites. Anabaptists did not believe in baptizing babies because they believed that no one could truly baptized until you were an adult so you could make up your own mind. b. Anabaptists: i. Muntzer was the major leader and Jam of Leyden was one of his closest followers. Jam with a small group of follower took over Munster and made it into the new. Jam made many rules and laws trying to turn Europe into a new utopia he thought it should be. The Lutherans and Calvinist, and the Catholics came together to over through Jam of Leyden and Munster. ii. The Anabaptists where driven underground to practice their religion in secret. The Anabaptists showed that you could not just believe anything you want but you had to choose and
