Mammals Cheetah: The cheetah is a mammal that belongs to the cat family. It is unique in its speed, although does lack climbing abilities and is deemed as the fastest animal. Panda: The panda is a mammal that belongs to the bear family. Though belonging to the order Carnivore; the Giant Panda has a diet, which is 99% bamboo. The Giant Panda may eat other foods such as; honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, and bananas when available. Cheetahs are the fastest animal in the animalia family. Cheetahs do not like to share their food. Cheetah’s life span in the wild is only 12-14 years. The panda’s life span is 25- 30 years. The panda bear belongs to the order called carnivore. The cheetah is also classified under the order carnivore. Members of the mammalian order of Carnivora are the descendants of a successful the Paleocene radiation of mammals that had primitive food habits that was carnivorous.
