McCain ADED 714: Community College Case Study March 25, 2010 Community College Funding Research If you are a new author of this paper, how would you propose a different research paper on the role of local funding on community college ? I would propose a different research paper on the role of local funding on community college by exploring the research topic of reducing government income inequities in community colleges in urban and rural areas. So the title of my research paper would read: “Reducing Revenue Inequities in Community Colleges in Urban and Rural Areas.” The research paper would discuss challenges that community colleges in urban and rural areas encounter, address reducing inequities in order for students to gain access to higher education, examine and evaluate the financial structure of these community colleges, analyze budget and financial management reform with a focus on enhancing equity and efficiency, and encouraging the community to take action by challenging their congressmen and policy makers to commit to equal allocation of funding to all community colleges despite geographical location and low income areas. Funding equity is the idea that each educational institution should receive equal per student funding. So
