Multi-Media The Office “The Office”, debuting March 24, 2005, has proved itself to be a genuine hit, earning respected television awards such as the 2006 Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, 2006 AFI Honor, Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy, and many others (nbc.com). The show is based off of a popular British comedy with the same name where the episodes are filmed via a documentary film crew. The storyline is about regional manager, Michael (Steve Carel), and the office employees of paper company Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. Overly confident, Michael is convinced he is the funniest, smartest, coolest manager anyone could have, with an endless amount of business knowledge while being completely oblivious to the fact that he’s only making himself look ridiculous.
