Introduction
At the start of the course, we had many things to tackle, including preparing to start on a
capstone project. In the long run, I had to made my mind up in order to handle various problems
and solutions to academic issues related to nursing and professional practice. However, I had a
shoulder to lean on since I had a mentor. It was also justified that nursing students will be
working in groups, and I did not anticipate to suffer in the long run while tackling hard projects
regarding my course. My primary aim was to actively engage in the learning program and
become an individual who exhibits high levels of transformational leadership and
professionalism. I will describe my journey of professional nursing practice according to the
activities done per week and how I showed professionalism throughout the course.
Week 1
It was the first week in class, and the primary goal during the week was to identify one
clinical problem and start developing our nursing practice towards enhancing individual success.
These structures given during the first week made me realize that the nursing program that I had
enrolled in required extra caution and involvement in inter-professional collaboration, such as;
sharing concepts, strengths, and weaknesses regarding teamwork. Because my course was apart
of the bachelor of science in the nursing program, I focused on better nursing care delivery and
ensuring that patients receive safe practice despite their vulnerable situations. I focused on
understanding evidence-based practice in nursing and how it permeates with the BSN program
(
Gartee, 2016)
. Having prior knowledge during this week, which enabled me to become
Eveready in handling obesity disorders, diabetes, and various other diseases from the perspective
of improving patient safety and facilitating wellness with better standards of care. As a nurse, I

discovered that it is paramount that a leader and leadership in nursing require an individual to be
persistent in solving problems and helping others realize their purpose in life.
Week 2: Learning How to Incorporate and Enhance Intrapersonal Collaboration
The second week was focusing on the relevance of interpersonal collaboration, which is a
cornerstone for improving interprofessional collaboration in nursing practice. The primary mode
of instruction was teamwork. It enhanced my understanding of the relevance of cooperation in
