Andrea Puryear 5/05/2010 University Of Phoenix Assignment: Water Resource Plan The selected water that I have chose Is Aquaculture. Aquaculture was originated with the State Fish Commission and the Federal government. In 1888 the State built their first fish hatchery at Browning Spring near St. Joseph and the Federal government developed the Neosho hatchery and back in 2001 over more than half of the global production originated from the marine or brackish coastal waters. . A Issue with aquaculture is that it can harm wild fish and there are some types of aquaculture that will increase the pressure on several already threaten marines species. Aquaculture is the main farming of fish, shellfish, and aquatic plants and also accounts for nearly one half of all the seafood that is consumed in the world today. The wild life species can also carry diseases or parasites that can become very lethal to native species. Some opposing
