Progress Report 1 Revised Objective This project originally sought to define clearly the flow of information across the supply chain for the NASA Constellation Program using the latest industrial standards. My advisor warned me that this broad objective needed a narrower focus. Experience has validated his warning. The revised objective seeks to define clearly an optimized mission as part of the Constellation campaign to supply an exploration team on an established moon base. Detailed Description of Revised Plan The ongoing learning of the MATLAB-driven SpaceNet software package has driven the revision of the objective. I have spent virtually all of my time on this project since the last report learning this challenging program. Further complicating the issue, an optimization package called CPLEX that SpaceNet requires for certain optimization scenarios costs over a thousand dollars. So I have abandoned that route in favor of looking at SYMPHONY, an alternative "open source" package, or perhaps even writing my own linear program and using GAMS or
