Risk Assessment 2 Risk Assessment Introduction As a member of the city council, this is not an easy choice to make. I understand where both sides are coming from and worry both sides are feeling. By the end my risk assessment I will have reached my decision. Hazards There are several risks to use a pesticide, whether it is one that is applied to the skin or one used in the air. Many people are uneducated on the risk of using pesticides. Even after teaching people how to correctly use a pesticide, what is to say that they will use them correctly? It is very important to look at both sides of this argument to see which case is the worst decision for the city. Mosquito Population (WNV) With a mosquito population that is that high, it is important to do something to rid the city of the infestation. The West Nile Virus is a disease that can be very deadly. Many people are afraid of being bitten by a mosquito because they “may” carry the disease. I can understand the fright
