Hello, I am here to talk about the cancer Leukemia, did you know that more than 3,500 children, and 40,800 adults find out that they have this cancer. Unfortunately they don’t know what causes people to get Leukemia, there are a few known risk factors for Leukemia. The risk factors are radiation exposure, certain chemicals, and certain viral infections. Although there are known risk factors, some people never have any of these risk factors, and at this time there is no way that you can prevent the cancer. The way that doctors detect leukemia is by a routine blood test, most people with chronic leukemia may not show any symptoms, now when some has acute leukemia you have symptoms. These symptoms are swollen lymph nodes, fevers, night sweats, frequent infections, feeling weak, tired, bleeding, bruising easily, swelling, discomfort in the abdomen, weight loss for no known reason, pain in the bones or joints.
