The book of eli It is 7:30 am, I haven't slept for two days, and haven't had any coffee for a few hours. For those specific reasons, I will keep this brief and return to it later when I am feeling more sane. :) I agree with a lot of the points that you presented about what the film had to convey about hope and spirituality. When I originally went to go see it, I had a relatively concise idea about what the film was going to end up being like. I went with an open mind, hoping that I would enjoy it, not looking for some new avenue in which I could criticize Christianity. There were a few things that disappointed me about the movie that I will touch on later. The main reason I decided to go see it was the fact that Gary Oldman was cast, and I'm a total fan girl for most of the characters he portrays. However, his character ended up being one of the worst facets of the movie. A little added depth would have been nice.
