1 Welcome to the Management Accounting of the Bachelor of Business You are expected to read the contents of this study guide, also available on AUTonline under “All My Courses”. This is a level six paper, worth 15 points. This paper runs for 12 weeks, and has one session per week. The overall approach will be to foster students’ understanding on management accounting concepts and techniques with specific reference to costing systems, planning and budgetary control and decision making. The paper will emphasise individual and group study, class participation where appropriate, oral and written expression, and the development of conceptual thinking.
