Course Description: This course will be a study of management fundamentals and concepts by lecture, guest  speakers, small group activities and case analysis with emphasis on the planning, organizing,  leading and controlling activities in organizations.     Course Textbook:    Management: A Practical Introduction  (4th edition).  McGraw-Hill/Irwin:  New York.  The publishers offer two e-book options that provide a way for students to save money and to “go green”.  For more information and to purchase one of these options visit  www.coursesmart.com  and  www.textbooks.VitalSource.com .  Instructor  can provide more details upon request.    Other Instructional Materials:  Student Power Point slides are available on-line via the website for the textbook -  www.mhhe.com/kw4e  - access the OnLine Learning Center, Student Edition. Instructor will provide further information in class.
