Unformatted text preview: For my first music journal I chose the piece on Handel: Messiah by George Frederic Handel. I personally feel that Handel is best known for his work of classical music during the Baroque Era period (1685-1759). I think that this is by far one of his best orchestration and choral piece that is familiar and loved by so many people during the Baroque Era period and even as of today. I believe that Handel music in Messiah had become surrounded by a Christmas and Easter tradition that will keep his name famous. The classical music of Handel: Messiah is well-liked by me because it is the reflection on the biblical prophecies of the Messiah, which symbolizes the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, I feel there is some similarity of scripture and music complementing one another. If you really listen to the words and read the scripture in the Bible, they really do mean the same.
