Bmgt asg 4 Assignment: - 4 Chapter: - 8 1. Christianity: - Christians believe in life after death. The protestant Christians believe that people are born and remain sinful; they will end up being punished eternally in hell unless they are “saved” by Jesus. Roman Catholic Christians believe in salvation that is come from God. They believe that people go to purgatory, hell or heaven according to their sins after death. Religious liberals reject the concept of a loving God creating a place of eternal torment. Muslims: - Muslims believe in Islam. They follow the word of Mohammad as the path of life. Their religious book is Qur’an. Muslims believe in a God Allah. Allah is considered as a Supreme Being. They also believe that Allah is the same God that is worshiped by all the people of different religions. They believe in Qur’an as a holy book and believe that it is a miracle in itself. They believe in worshiping (doing prayers) five times a day. The other thing that they believe is in repentance of the mistake that one makes. According to them a person is born free of sins. And they can get sinful only after puberty. They can get forgiveness from sin by repentance. Jews: - Jewish people believe in Judaism. Judaism has a same origin as Christian and Muslim. The Torah is a holy book of Jewish. It has two parts. The first part is Oral Torah and other is written Torah. The written part is called as a Tenakh. Religion is a very personal thing to them and it can be transmitted one generation to other with family beliefs and cultures. They believe in “bar mitzvah.” According to this belief when boy turns 13 and a girl turns 12 they are considered adult and can now start thinking about what is good and bad. They can now start to think about their religious responsibilities and can now start gaining more and more knowledge of their religion. To further understand the beliefs of Jews one must read their holy book, The Torah. 5. 1. If the employee has go undergo any sudden training, than employer must make sure that if any religious reasons is stopping their employee to attend a training, the employer arranges alternate time that might not interfere with their employee’s religious schedule. 2. Employer must accommodate employees who put on their religious symbols
