An illustration of the formulation of MPS A disaggregation model (by Chung and Krajewski) illustrates how the Aggregate Plan for each family, determined by their MIP, can be disaggregated into a detailed MPS, specifying: lot sizes and timing for individual end products. Since family production and inventory levels have been established by the AP, the MPS must adhere to targets set by the AP. To do this, the formulation includes resource requirements and limitations from the AP as constraints. IE324 - MPS-Math. Modelling April 13, 2010 2
