Sexual Techniques Sexual techniques include sexual behavior with others and solitary behavior methods. Included within these sexual techniques are such positions as the male superior (male on top), female superior (female on top), rear entry, the lateral entry, and the cunnilingus (Rathus, Nevid, & Fichner-Rathus, 2005). Additionally, masturbation and fantasy techniques are used (Rathus, Nevid, & Fichner-Rathus, 2005). Within these techniques; kissing, touching, and other forms of foreplay are used to produce a more arousing and pleasing sexual experience (Rathus, Nevid, & Fichner-Rathus, 2005). Roles and Connections between Kissing, Touching, and Foreplay In some cultures the use of kissing, touching, and foreplay are used for enjoyment, prelude to intercourse, affectionate gestures, and erotic significance and to enhance one’s sexual pleasure and intimacy (Rathus, Nevid, & Fichner-Rathus, 2005).
