Simulation software tools are used both by automobile manufacturers and suppliers to an increasing extent. The outstanding quality of simulation results for chassis de- velopment is acknowledged without exception. We have been working with different simulation tools for many years now, and our engineers have become experts on this subject. Software In order to simulate Multi-Body-Systems (MBS), we use ADAMS® respectively ADAMS/Car® and SIMPACK®. These two programs are in service in automotive engineering all over the world. They represent a perfect means to simulate the dynamics of rigid-body models. With their help it is possible to model complete vehicles and to test their handling characteristics in standard or free definable driving maneuvers. Moreover, you could involve elastic elements into these models and to define their spring rates and damping characteristics as required. Thus the elastokinematic characteristics of suspensions can be integrated in the vehicle dynamics simulation. Coupling to FEA Tools
