Living things are complex, integrated, well adapted to their environments and capable of reproducing. At present, the theory of evolution by natural selection is the best scientific explanation for that state of affairs. Detail the six logical steps of the theory. 1.) Reproduction is exponential 2.) Numbers of organisms tend to be relatively stable in nature 3.) Many individuals must fail to reproduce 4.) Individuals with advantageous traits are more likely to survive and reproduce (natural selection) 5.) Offspring resemble their parents 6.) Advantageous traits become more common over the generations 2. The beaks of the Galapagos finches provide an example of evolution by natural selection. A. What is it that is changing about the finch beaks? -The shape of their beaks are changing.
