Tierney 1 Electronic commerce (E-commerce) has revolutionized the way trade commences throughout the world today. From business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and consumer-to-consumer e-commerce, we have only looked forward since the birth of the information age to expand our society's economic growth. We will look at these various types of commercial models in a bit more detail. Business-to consumer (B2C) e-commerce is what we see the most of as everyday consumers. Instead of our everyday trips to Wal-Mart or the mall, we can find ourselves browsing the internet to find the items we would normally go to the store for. From clothes, to electronics, and even food items, we can save ourselves a trip thanks to the miracle of the internet. Any of these purchases made that result in a product being delivered to a buyer's house are utilizing the B2C e-commerce model. Business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce we do not see very much of as individuals, other than the product being delivered via 18-wheeler on the interstate. Only if you work for a company that
