Axia College Material Appendix G SQ3R Worksheet Selected Reading: pp.175-182 Survey How did you survey? I scrolled through and noticed several bulleted sections, a few charts and graphs, and saw there was a heading outlining this given section. Question What questions did you ask? Will this passage help me better understand visual aids? Am I going to determine what my favorite type of chart/graph is? Read How did you read? I try to read with a steady rhythm; however I know very well that there are breaks in rhythm when reading in my head. I read “louder” in my head when seeing sections that are in bold or italicized print, emphasizing their effect. Recite What did you recite? As suggested, I recited the questions I had at the beginning of the passage. So it turns out, this passage is directed to making sure the reader understands graphs, instead of what I had assumed when I surveyed originally (something more along the lines of creating the graphs themselves.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
