In today’s meeting the thing that we need to discuss is the importance of conserving energy, the differences between renewable and nonrenewable resources, different methods to conserving and helping the environment, and the things the government can do to help with the effort of conserving energy. There are many reasons why conserving energy is important. One of the reasons why it so important is because there is such a limited amount of nonrenewable resources, also the consumption of these resources impact the earth a lot. Nonrenewable resources such as fossile fuels, is what contributes partly to the air and water pollution in the world. These resources produce things like carbon dixiode and sulfure dixiode. Sulfure dixiod is what causes acid rain, which in turn kills fish and trees and damanges limestone buildings and statues. Another reason energy needs to be conserved is to help prevent the greenhouse effect. This effect can alter the weather, which then can have an impact on human health and the environment. The environmental effects that can happen are things like the rising of sea levels that can damange
