Inclusive language means that the language that you are using is gender- neutral. It is very important to use inclusive language when communicating in a class forum so you do not offend anybody in the class; this not only applies to the class forum but to the workplace too. When you use gender-biased language it can make the sex that you are not talking about feel like they are not being included in the conversation. There were quite a few mistakes that Anthony made in his discussion answer. The first mistake was by saying, “At a company conference I saw this business lady give a presentation on etiquette. I was surprised because she had a lot of good things to say.” To me it sounded like he was saying that he was surprised that a female gave so many good pointers. Instead he could have said, “At a company conference I saw a businessperson give a presentation on etiquette. I was surprised because they had a lot of good things to say.” This eliminates the possibility of someone thinking Anthony is
