Ethics 2 week 4 21/10/2008 11:28:00 excellences have bases in the rational soul. Needs to find out excellences. Need  to be used and pursued.   A state, make ourselves into something, chose between less excellence and  more excellent choices of action. When each person digs deep down we all have the same thing.  Build habit, moral character, self knowledge. Build moral character or not so  moral character. Ethical habits unlike automated habits. Need to build them up. Past experiences  has left knowledge.  Cannot rely on the habit cause situations change.  Must use often or they lose power. Practice.
