Jamie Mortakis Adv 409 Assignment 2 ASUS is an up and coming computer distributor. ASUS comes from the last four letters of Pegasus, which in Greek mythology represents inspiration of art and learning. ASUS has tested their computers almost everywhere. In outer space, they went on a 600 day mission with zero defects to the computer. They have also tested their computers in the air, on the road, on the world’s highest peak, and at the ends of the earth. ASUS focuses on five main virtues. They include humility, integrity, diligence, agility, and courage. They place great importance on these employee virtues. “ASUS pursues technological and aesthetic perfection through continuous innovation. We place ourselves in our customers’ shoes to develop a deep understanding of, and genuine empathy for, their needs—enabling us to create user experiences that transcend the norm.” ASUS has an unyielding commitment to innovation and quality, their slogan is “Inspiring Innovation, Persistent Perfection.” In 2008, ASUS won 3.056 awards. That’s an average of about eight a day. ASUS mission is to provide innovative IT solutions that empower people and businesses to reach their full potential. ASUS has over sixteen product lines.
