2 Business Ethics Reflection I am a person who believes in equality among all men and women. I also believe in honesty. I think these things are important in our everyday lives as well as in our businesses. Unfortunately we often come across situations in our lives that force us to either break our values or fight to stand by them. Personally, I was put into one of these situations a few years ago. My sense of fairness and honesty were brought into play. It was early one morning, at an optical store in which I worked. The store manager, myself, and another of our employees were all there unpacking the days shipment of eyeglass orders. Like every morning, we talked as we did this task. Normally it was not a problem to talk as we worked, but on this particular morning, the manager was angry about her daughter’s husband. She was so angry that she was cursing and losing herself in the conversation. She had stopped working and was simply talking to us. That part did not really bother me; I knew that one way or
