What do Physical Anthropologists do? Holding the title as anthropology major may sound intriguing, knowing that this involves understanding the cultures and people of the world, but in the current time how can this knowledge be applied to a job? After all, this is a capitalistic country full of opportunities as well as price tags. It Turns out, a majority of the jobs that are involved with physical anthropology are those of research and testing hypotheses. One of the guest lecturers to the summer session of biocultural anthropology 201 spoke of his research in the field of human maturation, specifically the beginning of puberty. This testing in particular could be correlated to inquiries from pharmaceutical companies and the like. The requirements as far as experiences and schoolwork seemed fairly minimal, since this person had not even gone through a college chemistry class. Toward the end of the term, Henry Lyle came to share his research. Instead of being chemically and scientifically geared, it was more toward the social realm of
