Google.March 25, 2010 Dear Jimmy, The purpose for my writing you is to discuss the concept of living environmentally friendly and the impact you can have through making a few simple lifestyle changes. “Going green” is important to our society as it reduces our carbon footprint and depletion of natural resources. The “going green” concept implies making changes in your everyday life that reduce the depletion of natural resources, the negative impact on the environment and ultimately leave the world in a much more healthy condition for future generations. Simple acts such as recycling soda cans, plastic bottles and riding a bike to work can drastically diminish the damage you inflict on our environment. Natural resources are a limiting factor in the survival of our planet and the growth of our human population is eventually going to consume any resource the future might require. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the world population is expanding at a mind-boggling rate. The world reached 1 billion people in 1800; 2 billion by 1922; and over 6 billion by 2000. It
