EE 2301 S 2010 INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL SYSTEMS DESIGN HOMEWORK #3 (20 pts) Due March 2, 2010 1. Problem 8-A 2. Show all tests to detect logical stuck-at-1 fault on the output line X3 in your solution for Problem 1 3. Consider 3-level circuit implemen ting the following Boolean function F=a’c’+(b+d’)(a+d)c . For this network, show all static 1 hazards and indicate how such hazards can be removed. Then show all static 0 hazards and indicate how they can be removed. 4. Problem 9.14 5. Problem 9.18 6. Realize the function f(A,B,C,D) = A’C’E’+A’B’D’E’+ACDE’+A’BDE’ using: a) A single 8-to-1 multiplexer with an active low enable and an active high output. Use A, C and D as the select inputs where A is the most significant and D is the least significant. b) Repeat part a) assuming the multiplexer enable is active high and output is active low. c) A single 4-to-1 multiplexer with an active low enable and an active high output and a minimum of additional gates. 7. Implement the following Boolean functions F1 = b’ d + a’ b’ + c’d

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
