Correlations range from –1.0 to +1.0 b. positive correlations: as X increases, Y increases (eg height+weight) c. negative correlations: as X increases, Y decreases (eg stress + health) i. x axis = amount of TV watched ii. y axis = aggression IV. Correlation between drinking red wine and longer life? a. Drinking red wine leads to better health b. Being in better health leads people to drink red wine c. Something else causes people both to drink red wine and to be in better
