CIS 104 Windows Operating System In Depth Chapter 2 Submitted by: Chapter Overview. What new things did you feel were most important in this chapter? In this chapter, I understood the deployment of Windows Vista and the accompaniments available, (Boot installation, distribution share installation, and image-based installations). I personally like Image-based however still know little about it. Windows Easy Transfer is a great tool to use for all who are upgrading from a older operating system or just updating, as it allows the user to transfer files and settings from your current PC to the new PC. There are various options available when installing vista. The ability to migrate settings and files is quick and easy. WindowsPE seems to be a very much needed tool to the Windows platform. The fact that you can boot a PC prior to any working OS installed on it and access a network Image file is great. I like how WSIM offers you the ability to store all of you device drivers and configuration settings into an answer file. This allows you to backup your drivers or used for mass implementation. If needed you can add to them with ImageX. Being able to modify them at a later time will be convenient, especially if you add new hardware that needs OS drivers. What you learned:
