Victor Bryson Week 2 Article May 16, 2010 One of the most important relationships in life is the relationship between an employee and manager. No matter which company an individual works for there is represents the employee’s exposure to the business’s organizational culture and expectations. The satisfaction with a company begins and ends with the relationship that exists with an employee’s direct supervisor. It can be a positive relationship or a relationship from hell. However some believe that worker defections have little to do with how well or poorly management performs. The school of thought previously was that employees don’t leave their company they leave due to poor relationships with their manager. The main cause for leaving a company has been related to monetary and stress related to employment. Compensation is always of the highest importance in matters of employment.
