Healthy Eating Plan 2 After six years of being a flight attendant I realized how my health had declined, and my food intake was out of sorts. Flying for four to six days at a time, working up to 14 hour days doesn’t exactly allow for a proper diet. Most meals were consumed at a restaurant or fast food place usually located in an airport or near the hotel in which I stayed. Because most places I stayed I did not have a refrigerator available I wasn’t able to bring food with me. After leaving the airlines I continued down a path of unhealthy eating habits. Three months ago I decided I needed to make a change. I figured out the best “diet” for me, and settled on following the biggest loser diet. I don’t like to call what I do a diet, because I don’t feel as though it is. I feel like instead I have made a lifestyle change just follows how the biggest loser program feels you should eat. Prior to following the biggest loser plan I had done research on the healthy amounts I need from each food group. My food intake for the last three months following the biggest loser diet has consisted of 2 Servings whole grains, 3 Servings Protein Foods, 4 Servings fruits and veggies, 200 Extra calories (sauces, etc) 1 Serving = 8 ounces or 1 cup. I split these between three meals and two snacks a day following this general routine: Breakfast- ½ protein, 1 whole grain, 1 fruit
