SRT =10 days; Temperature = 10°C Comparison of various results along the time: As the time increases in the reactors various biological reactions happen in the system which causes the changes in the composition of the reactants in the system. The following are the comparisons of the simulation that were executed. SUBSTRATE COD vs TIME With time more of the influent substrate is converted in to the microbial cell matter which causes the decrease in the COD caused by the substrate. The overall COD of the aeration tank will remain same, as the COD just converts the form. Also it is shown by Clair N. Sawyer and Gerard A. Rohlich in their paper activated sludge oxidations that the oxygen demands in the summer is more than that in the winter, which is again satisfied by the above simulated results.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
