Z302 Spring 2010 Exam 2 STUDY GUIDE: Total Questions = 75 Chapter 4 – Motivation: 22 Questions Professor Note: Questions come from all parts of this chapter with emphasis on expectancy theory (pgs. 28-130) and goal setting (pgs.139-140). Chapter 5: Performance Management: 19 Questions Professor Note: Questions come from all parts of this chapter with emphasis on selection method effectiveness and observing and assessing performance . Tables 5.2 (pg. 170) and 5.3 (pg. 182) contain information important on the exam as well. Chapter 6: Power & Influence: 12 Questions Professor Note: Questions come from all sections with the heavy emphasis on bases of power (pgs. 204-206) and social influence weapons (pgs. 211-216). Chapter 7: Leadership: 19 Questions Professor Note: Questions come from throughout the chapter with emphasis on Situational Leadership. Know that material well and be familiar with the course slide (not in the book) that labels the development levels: D1 = Enthusiastic Beginner; D2 = Disillusioned Learner (i.e., problem employee) D3 = Reluctant Contributor, D4 = Peak Performer.
