Unformatted text preview: Over the last twenty years, technology has reorganized how we live, how we communicate, and how we learn. Half of what is known today was not known 10 years ago. The amount of knowledge in the world has doubled in the past 10 years and is doubling even faster as the technology advances. Digital Images and Sounds can be manipulated, such as “Terminator 4” and “Coraline” contain many scenes that could never actually happen. Photographs may not be authentic, and could be deliberately misleading. Fashion model photos are routinely made to make models appear more slender. You can’t get the whole story from one website. Also the data is not necessarily accurate. Today you need to cross-check against multiple sources. I agree with Laura that “the computer is good for inputting information, but the computer does not know how to check all the errors like a human does.” But at the same time there can be human errors. For example: People push the wrong key or button, which tells the same time there can be human errors....
