The Marketing Environment The Marketing Environment: PepsiCo PepsiCo is the #2 soda maker in the world. Although, it rates # 1 in snacks, PepsiCo is still dependent upon the public goodwill and the trust of the consumer to deal with the various sources of the environment. There are seven environmental forces that affect corporations today. This paper will touch on four of them that affect PepsiCo. Competitive Forces PepsiCo is the world leader in convenient snacks, foods, and beverages with revenues that are more than 39 billion dollars. It falls into the number two slot for beverage sales with Coca Cola leading in first. Pepsi and PepsiCo products are available in some 200 countries. Sales for the fiscal year of 2008 were $43,251.0 million. 1 PepsiCo's major competitor's are Coca Cola, the number one soda maker in the world and the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.
