Term to January 20, noon (instead of March) and starts Congressional terms to January 3. 22 nd Amendment (1951) – Two term limit… Roosevelt (1933-1945) 25 th Amendment (1967) – Temporary replacement of incapacitated president. Voluntary step-down, involuntary (vice president & majority of cabinet, Pres can appeal to Congress [ie mental illness]) Replacement of vacant vice-presidency. [Nixon’s vice-president stepped down, Ford appointed by Pres and confirmed by Senate]. Ford became Pres and Nelson Rockefeller
