What are the complementary base pairs in DNA? ________(4)________ (4) Hydrogen bonding between particular bases in DNA thymine (T) pairs with adenine (A), and guanine (G) pairs with cystosine (C) or vice versa. 5. What is meant by “DNA replication is semi-conservative”? _______(5)______ (5) Each new double heliex has one original strand and one new strand. One original strand is conserved or present in each new double helix. Each original strand has produced a new strand through complementary base pairing, so there are now two DNA helices identical to each other and to the original molecule. 6.
