Week 3 AssignmentThe Farm Service Agency which is known as the “FSA,” is an agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture where farmers would receive a relief in a time of crisis. Some forms of relief the FSA offers can vary from loans to incentives. When the FSA was newly established, they had a high priority on providing assistance to either new or experienced farmers, as well as minority and women ranchers. This agency was established during The Great Depression. Many farming individuals around that time were scarce in their profit of their products, and through theDepression, many of them struggled. Though there were limited resources during the establishment of the FSA, there are now many programs associated with this agency. Some main programs would be the Farm Loan Program, Disaster Assistance Program, and the Conservation Program. With the programs associated in this agency, many farmers were able to receive the necessary aid to supply the right demand for society.
