14 Jan 2009 Lesson 2, Assn 1 Case Analysis of “Yellowtail Marine, Inc.” Inundated is the word to describe Robyn, the new president of Yellowtail Marine, Inc. in this case study. Robyn’s limited management experience combined with an overnight thrust into power has left her in a dill of a pickle. Now she must prioritize the many important business tasks that have been thrown at her while becoming accustomed to the new responsibilities—all within daunting time constraints and high expectations. Because it is humanly impossible to solve all of the business problems within two hours, when her plane must leave, she must solve the more important business issues and delay the less important ones. After she has prioritized her goals, she must communicate her stance effectively with those asking for her input.
