The first main point mentioned was if the financial problems around the world occurred because businesses forget and not worry about the ethic side. Professor Freeman agrees to the idea that this crisis is a crisis of ethics. He states that people tend to forget the real purpose of a business, and unless the business and ethics work together this crisis will be reappearing. Professor also explains how a business system works and what makes a successful business, and outlines how the profits and shareholder values are changed as being the purpose of business rather than the result. The interviewer mentions and discusses the main problem of this crisis, referring to the well know and big banks of US and questions if this problem will be continuing because the banks keep reporting big profits which carry big bonuses. Professor Freeman explains how banks forget their actual purpose, which is creating value for their customers and others.
