1. This preservation of favorable variations and the rejection of injurious variations, i call Natural Selection. Every slight modification, which in the course of ages chanced to arise, and which in any way favored the individuals of any of the species, by better adapting them to their altered conditions, would tend to be preserved; and natural selection would thus have free scope for the work of improvement. 2.MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE A.define the type of intelligence your group is covering. Give an example of a type of problem that might be solves using this type of intelligence. Explain what types of activities go on in the mind when this type of intelligence is used. A:The bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is the ability to use one's body to express an emotion, to play a game, or to create a new product. It is evidence of the cognitive features of body usage. If someone falls down, he will use hands to keep balance of his body to protect himself Control of bodily movement is, localized in the motor cortex, with each hemisphere dominant or controlling bodily movements on the contra-lateral side. B.Explain how this type of intelligence qualifies as intelligence, according to one or more Gardner’s criteria of intelligence covered in the first question. The evolution of specialized body movements is advantage to the species, body movement undergoes a clearly defined developmental schedule in children, and it is universality across cultures. Spatial This area deals with spatial judgement and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye, so to speak. Careers which suit those with this type of intelligence include artists, designers and architects. A spatial person is also good with puzzles. [ edit ] Linguistic This area has to do with words, spoken or written. People with high verbal-linguistic intelligence display a facility with words and languages. They are typically good at reading, writing, telling stories and memorizing words along with dates. They tend to learn best by reading, taking notes, listening to lectures, and discussion and debate. They are also frequently skilled at explaining, teaching and oration or persuasive speaking. Those with verbal-linguistic intelligence learn foreign languages very easily as they have high verbal memory and recall, and an ability to understand and manipulate syntax and structure. Careers that suit those with this intelligence include writers, lawyers, policemen,
