Work the problems in order. 4. Staple or paper clip your solutions in the upper left hand corner (if more than one page). 5. Numbered problems are from Wakerly. 6. You may have points deducted for not following directions. 7. We will preview this homework Monday and Tuesday mornings. Problems: 1. Find a Moore state diagram for a circuit that has an input x and output z. z is 1 whenever the sequence 0100 has just been received. 2. Find a Mealy state diagram for a circuit that has an input x and output z. z is 1 whenever the sequence 0100 has just been received. Compare this circuit with the circuit from problem 1 in terms of number of states and number of flipflops needed to implement. 3.
