SPSS DATA TABLES 1.  Do not use Excel to format tables 2.  Do not submit any copies of your SPSS output 3.  Use Word or another word processing program to construct tables utilizing the below  instruction:  First  line should reflect the number of the table: Table 1 Second  line should reflect the name of the table: Give the table whatever name you feel appropriate.  THEN  skip one space and put a solid line going from the left to right margin. Following this line are your  TABLE LABELS  followed by another solid line: Characteristics n % THEN  skip one space. The  next line  should indicate the question stem of the reported item while the  FOLLOWING  line is dedicated to the response categories associated with the item and the resulting data.  After all of the data for an item has been reported  skip another line  (alternatively if you need to conserve
