3 Final Project: Design a Financial Policy Family office of Dr. Glyn Smith Financial Policies for the Office of Dr. Glyn Smith Here at the family office of Dr. Glyn Smith’s we try everything in our power to provide the best care possible and to keep the medical expenses down in our office. The best way we have found to do so is with the help of our patients. With the help of our patients we strive to keep the balances on their account low or paid. By us not having to send out so many bills, holding down the price in our practice is much easier. Payment are Expected at Time of Service Unless Arrange Otherwise before Appointment At the time of making the appointment we will assume payment will be made before the time of appointment if you need to make other arrangements this is your responsibility to let us know before appointment time. Each patient is expected to pay all copayments or deductibles of their insurance at the time of service. Patients with no insurance are always required to pay for the office/provider portions of the visit in full at the time of service. We do not like having to turn away any patient with any medical needs, even for checkups. If you need to make other arrangements to make the payment please feel free to let one of the staff members know so we can find a payment option or method accordingly. Our offices are now accepting Visa, Master Card, personal checks and cash. (There is a $3.00 fee for any returned checks.) This office reserves the right to refuse personal check as a payment if a patient’s check has been returned in the past and will ask the patient to arrange another payment method. We provide prepayment plans and budgeted payment plans. If you are unable to make a payment please let our office know so we can try to help you the best we can. If there is any past due balances showing over 60 (sixty days) days or more past due, that balance must be paid off before any further appointments can be scheduled.
